TUESDAY 12 NOVEMBER 1968
317th day - 49 days to come
Mi To Fabio at Pantheon bringing 68 yellow sheets. He
read parts of it and seemed to like what he read.
He had reproductions made while we ate (at Renata's)
and he will read those over and have a conterence in about 2 weeks.
In order to make an October publication date it
must be ready by March 15th. Otherwise it will be
held up an entire year. About 225 yellow sheets
(200 to 250 words) would be right.
Judging from the games it will be a family game
book rather than a juvenile book (which is fine with me).
To l-S and picked up ANOTHER, FITTING & PROPER SPECTRUM, WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU? The latter Alice wants me to rewrite with a lighter touch so that and then send it '
to 3M for a try at their card line. Didn't go into
any details as to why I wanted the others.
The fellow from Miami with the word GAME postponed his
visit. Will be in with a model next week.
Another inventor from Denver is sending in a card GAME which
is a combination, he says, of PIT and MONOPOLY.
An advertising agency is interested in an Air Force GAME which
will show wives the importance of their husband's job. It
will be a one-shot deal with a flat payment. They'll give
me more info as they get it.
Spoke to Anne about the meeting with Fabio. She said
that she had wanted him to let me use LOA instead of
him but he felt that it is one of his best games.
I agreed. (Incidentally, Fabio agreed it is definitely
best not to duplicate games if it can be helped.)
Later spoke to Claude and told him of decision on
not duplicating. He asked me which game I would like
to use and I suggested Robbin' the Hood ROBBIN' THE HOOD
He said fine since he wasn't intending to use it.
Spoke to Anthur and told him I'd be up to my neck
with getting the book finished.
A pair of letters from Haar Hoolim, duplicates, with
more on magic squares.
