FRIDAY 8 NOVEMBER 1968
313th day - 53 days to come
Lee Horn called me to ask if I'd like to appear on the
TODAY show if she can arrange it. Said sure.
To Childcraft looking for HEXES. Didn't have it.
Took a catalog. It has a 19 ON ONE BOARD listed which
have to go back to see.
Spoke to Fred Blakely again to tell him what I found about
WALSTRETE He mentioned BLUE CHIP and INVESTMENT CLUB and
I said I thought they were no longer around. He said he'd
just mention them without bothering to check.
I also told him about WALL STREET (JBMR Assoc.) and MAKE OR BREAK.
He said that he called 3M and spoke to Mr. Repath and
then Bill Caruson who told thim that they are in the final
shake-down on a game that simulates the capatalistic system
of buying, manufacturing and selling. It is by the inventor of ACQUIRE which is their best playing game
even though STOCKS AND BONDS is their best selling game.
Which means that EXECUTIVE DECISION looks encouraging.
Called Felicia with the news an EXECUTIVE DECISION. Told
her I'd like to pick up some of my games and arranged
to go there Tuesday to get them. In the morning
of that date day a fellow from Miami is supposed to bring them
a word GAME. I'll look at it when I am there.
They heard from Hans Goldsmith again. He urges them to
work with Jerry D'Arcey, which they are not anxious to
do since they think he is more of an agent himself, rather
than a creative creator.
Hans, since CHICKEN OR EGGHEAD? is doing so well, is getting
interested in games again. which makes them happy.
Ruth Wilder here in the evening. A teacher friend of
hers was interested in some educational games for her
children. I suggested : - ON SETS, ABACA, AL PHA BET, BAZAAR, HAAR HOOLIM'S PERCEPTION GAMES.
She bought BAZAAR as a present for her brother.
