WEDNESDAY 14 AUGUST 1968
227th day - 139 days to come
Mike Abrams called to make sure I had given himthe full rules for
HEXAPAWN, since there didn't seem to be much to it. Told him that
was it. Discussed whether first or second had a forced win. Later I
checked it out. (Don't remember which - but it's easy to figure out.)
Called Alice with Ed Weber's comment about the contracts.
She had a letter from Arnold Shapiro. No movement at X but they
are holding onto games that they might use.
Later Alice called me. Will called her. He agreed that he wouldn't sign
as it was written. He'll send new paragraphs by mail. He asked if
the rest of the contract is o.k. so that they can go ahead with
INFINITE PLANE & VENTURE CAPITAL. They have a great package.
Alice asked him if they'd be interested in looking at a word game
(RED LETTER). He said he'd chack with Bill Caruson.
Dad and I started translating Lech's game LAP which the
dictionary says is HOLD ON. Got about half wat thru. Looks
interesting.
Decided to change the name POOLWORD to SPELLBINDER.
