Mike Abrams called from Philadelphia before I had a chance to reach Alice so
I couldn't tell him exactly what the status of SUCCESSION was, He'll
call tomorrow (since he is calling from a city office).
Suggested that Talked about his programming games and I
remembered HEXAPAWN which I saw at Expo '67. Told him I'd send him
the rules.
Contacted Felicia and Alice called me after.
Jerry D'Arcey called. He is leaving this afternoon for Minneapolis
to show JIGSEE to 3M and STINGER to Schaper.
Yesterday he saw Mel Taft at M.B. with the following results : -
SCORE - Sold it. Since it is competetive with STRATEGY POKER
they are only giving him 1 1/2%.
STINGER. - Not interested.
SEANCE - Not interested.
CODE Interested and kept a copy.
HANG UP As soon as they saw it at they showed him some thing
that looked very similar and refused to look at his.
Alice called. Asked her about SUCCESSION. She has had it at 3M, X, &
Champion, and S&R is not interested in strategy games. She'd
just as soon have Mike take it back.
She red a letter from Bob Claude,FACTOR is rejected.
They are testing THESE UNITED STATES & FLINGERS Wond soon.
She got the material from the Columbia professor on CONFRONTATION.
Nothing much of interest.
I'll go to their office Monday to sign the INFINITE PLANE contract.
Called Tom Atwater during the day, after kicking myself
for not going to see him yesterday when I was in Concord.
Nothing new on TEMPO, ODD OR EVEN, INTERPLAY: Says he may go to see Rockwell, but I doubt it. Another book
company may be interested in going into games. He and Hank
Simmons were in Europe with their wives on pleasure and
business. They saw Piet Hei.n Tom is thinking of putting
an ad in the trade magazines saying that SOMA is covered
by patents. I mentioned Parker's success with BOOBY-TRAP.
I promised to send him the addresses of the magazines.
He said he'd try to visit me in about 2 weeks.
Looked at games in Klein's. Nothing.
Dale picked up the August issue of PSYCHOLOGY TODAY.
It contained THE CITIES GAME which looked quite interesting.
Discussed agent's fees with BB in connection with Hank
Simmons remark "What do you need them for?
He also mentioned that he had seen a mutual acquaintance,
