WEDNESDAY 31 JULY
1968 213th day - 153 days to come
Called Playthings to inquire about the Directory. It is just being mailed.
Finally rcd. a letter from Frank Thibault. Mentioned his game
PLOY is being considered by 3M. Looked for my information on
it and finally found it - 4/4/68.
Jerry D'Arcey will be in town next week.
Looked at the rules for BALI.
(cont. from 8/8) [8/8]
Tom Atwater. BB and I decided that we can't really
do anything now to change the arrangement with
the girls.
Some GAME ideas I had in the last few days:-
A development of DROP PIN (See Essex Institute 8/7).
Players have long cardboard pieces which they drop in
some way trying to land directly on top of as many
others as possible. Colors can also be involved.
A "Stock Market" game. There is a path for each
(or possibly one for all stocks) stock which has spaces
which raise, lower, split, and cause dividends. Cer-
tain streches are favorable (i.e. :- have more spaces
raising prices than lowering them) while others are un-
favorable. Players have a hand of cards which allows
them to move a definite stock a definite number of
spaces along the path. Buy and sell stocks in anticipation
of its actions along the path(s).
A three dimensional game with wooden rods and places
to attach rubber bands to them at different levels.
(Just a germ of idea.)
Rcd. a letter from Haar Hoolim with 3 more board
games:- ISOLATION, SQUARE COUNTING, ADVANCE.
Rcd. a letter from Mr. C.R. Hill of Crown Hill Co.
saying that the Creatik line was at Macy's adult
game dept. and also sending me an ad clip for
N.H.L. HOCKEY, an action game.
