Friday 15 March 1968----
75th day - 291 days to come
Alice called and we discussed the Fair. She didn't see anything that I
didn't.
Claude called. Talked about the Fair some more, and the frustrations
of trying to sell games. We decided to change the N.Y.G.A. meeting
from 3/22 to 3/29. I said I'd call Arthur. Claude didn't have
any clippings from Times that I didn't have.
Called Arthur to tell him about change in N.Y.G.A. meeting. Talked about
Toy Fair and the article about Universal Games. He is still
showing the book on the HIGH DECK to publishers, still with praise
but no acceptances.
Alice called in the evening. Jim Goldsbury (see 11/10/65) of X
called her to tell her that it looks very encouraging that they will
go ahead with the games. He is in a higher position than Arnold
and will be preparing the market report for the top management.
He asked her help. We discussed the first ten companies in
the game business and game up with the [crossout] probable listing:-
1) Milton Bradley. 2) Parker. 3) Ideal. 4) Lowe. 5) Selchow & Righter.
6) Cadaco. 7) Transagram. 8) Schaper. 9) 3M. 10) Wff 'n' Proof.
I told Alice about Claude asking about LOA and she said
she is going to show it to Lowe.
