MONDAY 12 FEBRUARY
Georgia Day
Abraham Lincoln, Born 1809 1968 43rd day - 323 days to come
Decided to change the name ISOLATION to TEMPO. New idea to
extend the game. Each player once in the game can claim
"Priviledge." With "Priviledge" he can move anyone of his pieces
even if it is not sandwiched.
Or "Priviledge" could be continuous. When one player uses his
"Priviledge" he cannot use it again until his opponent uses his.
Once it balances each player can again use "Priveledge". Etc.
Thinking further on SET UP (see 2/9). Each round only one type
of question can be asked; either an entire class, a conjunction,
or a disjunction. The first player sets the type for that round.
After the last player asks his question according to that round,
he starts the next round by asking another question. (Can he use the
same type again?)
In bed BB typed the FOIL report and the letters to Bill Caruson
and Jim Morgan. I proofread them.
In bed thought that ON LINE might be like something in Martin
Gardner's correspondence. Went down and found it -
CHECK OR DON'T FENCE ME IN. It is so close that I'll drop my game.
Thinking of two new ideas, later called ODD OR EVEN and
COMPANY.
