TUESDAY 23 JANUARY
1968 23rd day - 343 days to come
Called Gene Koretz to give him the address for NUCLEAR WAR.
He said that they may get inquiries about it.
Claude called to tell me about ELECTION '68 at A&S, also
BIG FUNERAL and WATCH.
He bought SHIFTY GEARS for me for $1. Told him to give it to
his kids since I have it already.
He saw RANDOO advertised in the Saturday Review (I think). It
is a series of 7 games played on a board. It sells mail order
for $3.99. I have the address from Playthings.
Claude sent away for a pha pamphlet on starting a syndicated
column. Claude said it had some interesting material. He'll
show it to me Friday.
Thinking further about a geographical GAME. (See 12/14/67 & 1/9/68)
I think for children it will be better to use the 2nd
idea of 12/14/67, that is a series of moves provided there
is an ascending or descending order of a factor or
factors chosen at the start of the game (area and/or population-
etc.). When a player ro It might be desireable to limit
the move by throwing a die and limiting the number of
states to the number thrown. A player reaching the state
destination gets a A Throw of a one would give a move
and an additional throw. Reaching destination state gives
a player a product card from that state. When played with-
out the state product overlay the player must
identify a product in order to receive it. Also a player
might be given an additional opportunity to identify a
product if he can identify the state capital.
