Spoke to Alice about Arthur's passtime with the High-Deck.
She wasn't interested.
At Claude's played his game HONG - KONG bases on the
TV program "I Spy". Played on the following board : -
[LARGE DIAGRAM OF A GAME BOARD WITH PATHS. THERE ARE TWO START SPACES SITUATED AT OPPOSITE 'CORNERS'. THE PATHS ARE CURVED AND MEANDER AROUND - INTERSECTING WITH ONE ANOTHER AT 6 POINTS. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 60 SPACES ON THE BOARD. THREE OF THE SPACES ARE LABELED. ONE IS 'HOUSE OF MASKS', ANOTHER IS 'SHOP OF FACES', THE OTHER IS THE 'HOUSE OF FOUR TONGS'.]
2 to 6 can play.
Each player has 2 markers which starts at the
2 starts. Use 2 dice. Choose for first by high throw.
Move by throw of 2 dice; There are 9 cards representing
4 tongs - 3 with 2 each & 1 with 3. These are shuffled and
one is put in a special holder at the "House of the Four Tongs".
The other 8 at [ARE?] put face down on the board,
4 at the "House of Masks" & 4 at the "Shop of Faces".
Players move by the throw of two dice. Either m One
marker by each die. When land on another player -
"hitch-hike". If one one marker is on another player throw 1
die; if both are throw 2 dice. Continue "hitch hiking"
as long as land on an opponent. Pcs. cannot chang reverse direction.
When a player gets his two markers onto the same space
