Friday 24 September 1965
267th day - 98 days to come
Claude & Anne over. Played his new version of SECRET WEAPON,
previously HIDDEN WEAPON. The board has a series of
paths with six numbered starting spaces and three
"arsonal" spaces. There are two dice, 6 tokens, and
a set of 12 cards, representing the "hidde secret
weapons". The 12 cards each have a number as follows : -
"3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 24, 30" (pretty sure that these are
correct).
Choose for first by throw of 2 dice. High starts in space
1, etc. Move is by throw of 2 dice. May use either. With
a double may use 1 or total. When land directly on
another player, take another turn, etc. The tokens
are directional and players must continue in the given
direction. At a junction may go in either direction, but
not back in the direction just traversed.
When land directly on an "arsonal" space take one of
the "secret weapons", until all 12 are in play. When land
directly on an opponent with "secret weapons", take them
all, as well as another turn.
Before throwing the dice, whether at the start or
for an extra turn, a player may challenge any other
player to a "duel". But only one player can be challenged
at one turn or series of turns due to landing on opponents.
To conduct a duel each player places a card
face down on the table. High card wins unt unless the
lower divides evenly into it. Continue dueling until one
player has no cards left. He is still in the game but since
he can get cards from the arsonal or by landing on
other players.
First player to get all 12 cards wins.
Played my MARLBORO COUNTRY. Worked well. A few
small points about rustling and getting sent back have
to be cleared up. Earlier in day made up new "cow"
pieces.
