Rcd. telephone call from Bill Bentzin, head of publicity at
3M. He is interested in me as a game expert. Is thinking
along the lines of having me do a one or two week tour next
December as an expert on games - who also made up ACQUIRE.
Will come to see my game library when he is in town.
Alice called during the day to say that Parker wrote. They
are returning RUSTLERS but are keeping SIT DOWN & THINK
for further consideration. Felicia said that Brentano's said
I called Alicia in the evening to tell that ACQUIRE had died
after X'Mas but now had really picked up.
Bob Abbott called. He & Laura (who wrote the article in MD
Magazine are working on a game about animals in the
jungle killing each other. Wanted to know if the
subject was taboo. Said I didn't know of a
specific taboo but anything with killing is suspect.
Claude called. The game called FOOTPRINTS previously (6/11)
is now called PATH LOGICAL. Made date for next Wednesday to play
AIRLINE with him and Alice.
Playing around with a checkerboard and 12 checkers each
of the two colors. Pretty nearly have worked out the rules for
CHAIN REACTION (see 6/15).
