lowable and what is not. One convention - the 1st "place" card
must represent the player's nationality, subsequent ones
can be other places he was connected with.
Henry had a system of challenges, but this needs
working out. Also handling of letter cards that are turned
up for facing cards on the board.
Alice gave me rules for the game of BATTLE LINE to
look at. She also showed me a game called
HATRACK GAME. It had cute equipment but no game to go
with it. Alice asked if I'd think of some ideas using it.
The equipment consists of 24 cards with pictures of
different children with a slit at the top of their head
into which 24 hat disks can be inserted, each corresponding
to a specific card. There are 4 hatrack cards which have
5 spaces of for hat discs, each of a different color.
There is also a center card with 5 spaces of different colors.
Had an idea for a game called GERRYMANDER.
Use an 8x8 grid. There is a set of cards (about 64)
with 12 marked spaces in different patterns.
Players use these cards for putting their
markers in the corresponding spaces on the
board. Could win a space, when get 5 ahead
(or less with more than 2 players) of the
opponent. Or player with most in a space
at end wins it.

Another germ of a game i GAME IDEA. Played with cards
which are layed out in a square square (size to be
determined). Four play and each can only take cards exposed
on the side he is facing.
