1965 70th day - 295 days to come
Rcd. letter from Fr. Daniel. Sent sketches of two games:-
SPECTRUM - Game with a new deck of cards.
CHAMPIONSHIP - [crossed out, illegible] path type game to collect a Football team.
ZOOP - Moving pcs. across a Checker Board.

WIFF 'N PROOF - Had an advertising blurb that Brentanno's had sold 17,000 sets before X-Mas. They also have two new games:-
WORDIGO - Description ad sheet filed in 1965 Ad Clips)
FACTS IN FIVE - An elaborate version of CATEGORIES.
MARCHEK (E.S.R. Inc.) Board as shown (I think
this right). Moves are similar to Chinese
checkers. When jump own men, they stay
on but opponent's pcs. are captured. Each
plays for himself. Count 1 point for
each captured and 1 for each pc. brought
across the board. Most points wins.

AGONIZ'N (C & C Toys) Another parchisi variation. (Sheet in
'65 Ad Clips).
SNAKE CHARMER GAME (Beasley, F.R. Promotions). No one there but
everything seems to be for children.
CHEQUÉRO (CO-5 Company). Same company that makes AGGRAVATION.
Played Chequéro with Charles Parker. They took over the game from
Gorman Games when they went out of business. This is just the
same game as SHUTTLE-BOARD CHECKERS (see game clippings box [22])
with the following additions:- when a pc. reaches the opposite end of
the board it becomes crowned and can move either diagonally or
straig orthagonally on either color, forward or backward. No
side moves are ever allowed. A player must jump capture if his
opponent calls his attention to the opportunity - even if a specific
slide is part of the capture. If the player can make a different
capture, this is permissable. Object is complete annihilation
of opponent. When a player's pieces are all in the last four
rows (away from him) he cannot slide the 4 rows near
him. Mr. Parker will send me a copy of the game and will
come up to see my games when he comes to town next.

Ideal Toy Corporation:-
SWAP - (see March 1965 Playthings) Move around board & have chance
to buy items. There are 2 of each item, one genuine &
one phony (with a gadget for reading the hidden result.
Also some provision for swapping.
