WEDNESDAY 10 FEBRUARY
1965 41st day - 324 days to come
In Pottstown bought BOWLO (Feature Games).
Saw THE ADDAMS FAMILY GAME (Ideal). Race game played on
a board with 7 paths, each with a picture of one of the
7 members of the "family." There is a spinner divided into
7 large spaces - for each member - and each subdivided into
smaller spaces - with numbers. Each player has a set of cards
with the 7 members. Each player has a token placed at
the start of each path. They choose any 3 members to
turn up, the others face down. Players in turn spin the
spinner. Each player who has a face up matching card to the
area spun moves his token the number in the area. If the
player doing the spinning has the member face up he can
either move double the number or move once and move an
opponent back the number spun. Players may [crossed out, illegible] change
their face up members before each spin if they wish.
First player to get 4 tokens to the end of their paths
wins. There are also spaces which call for the drawing of
a chance type card.
The store had ACQUIRE & TWIXT. The owner told me that a student
from an exclusive private school had just been looking for
ACQUIRE, and was happy at finding it & bought a copy.
Had form to return to 3M with Social Security number in my
pocket and lost it on way to Pottstown.
Thinking of checkerboard game called DISPERSAL. Players
have pcs. in a group and object is to move them so that
no 2 pcs. are in the same line orthagonally or diagonally,
that is pcs. of the same player. A player can commit sui-
cide by moving into a space equally spaced between to
of opponent's pcs. (see illustration). Have
to devise a method of moving.
