Friday 21 August 1964
Hawaii Proclaimed 50th State 1959 234th day - 132 days to come
Will give RAGE (B. & D. Industries - 1964) to Claude tomorrow.
Parchisi type game.
[Large drawing similar to Parchisi board design in a plus-sign shape with circles connected by lines around edge of shape and within, also containing arrows likely denoting movement, and "A"s with arrows.]
Use two dice. Each player
has four marbles to bring
around from the black starting
circle to the 4 spaces on his
"winner's path." A piece can
be started on the throw of
a 7 or 11.
Move one pc. total
of 2 dice or split
one die for one pc.
& one for another.
If throw a 7 or 11
when you have a
pc. in space marked
"A" you can move into
the adjacent inside
space. If throw a 7 when
in a "shortcut" space can
move space. If throw an
11 can move 2 spaces.
Capture by landing on
opponent by direct count. He is sent back. No bonus move.
A pc. in a shortcut space can be captured by landing
and also can be captured by throw of 7 or 11 while he
is in your short cut space (connected to your side by
dotted line).
Must move into "winner's path" by exact throw. Must
use both dice if possible. It is not necessary, however
to go passed your "winner's path".
Also will give Claude ORBIT RACE by the same company.
A simple race game with cards and colored spaces to
aid and hinder you.
At Brentannos saw INFLUENCE (Washington Educational
Enterprise Productions) or some such name adding up to
WEEP. A humorous Washington game. Single path
board with governmental agencies to own when landed on
first time. Others pay according to schedule, according
to the throw of the die with which they land. When land
on a special space take an "influence" card. Some of
these correspond to the Agencies on the board. A player having
his own collects additional rent. Having another players'
exempts you from paying him. A player on his turn can
call for a "roll-call". Each player must then play an "influ-
ence" card which are retired from the game. Some cards
have instructions on them and, I presume, if a player has
