MONDAY 11 MAY
1964 132nd day - 234 days to come
Called Alice & told her to hold up SPECTRUM till I
rewrite the rules.
At Klein's saw: - THE WEIRDOS - a Parchisi type
game using a monster motif.
OUTER LIMITS (MB) There is a board which has 4 sections
as follows:-
[drawing of board with "screen space" in center]
There is a deck of 8 screen cards, 32 monster
cards, and 2 wild cards. These are dealt out
equally to the players (probably from 2 to 4). Players
in turn play cards to the board. If they have
a screen card and there is an empty screen, the
card must be played.
The 32 monster cards make up 8 distinct mon-
sters. A player, whether he plays a screen
card or not, may play one monster card to each
aer area under a screen card, if he is able. The
first monster pc. in an area can be any monster.
After that they must belong to that monster.
When a monster is completed the 4 monster cards &
the screen card are eliminated from the game
opening those spaces for the new cards.
When a player plays all his cards he wins.
Wild cards are thrown off when the others are
completed. They only serve to camoflague the num-
ber of cards left in player's hands.
