FRIDAY 8 MAY
1964 129th day - 237 days to come
Rc'd. a great bunch of material (20 games & puzzles)
from Haar Hoolim. Just glanced at it tonight.
Arthur, Bob & Helen over. Played ACQUIRE for six
using the "stock option" cards. Worked out well even tho I
came in last.
Alice called Bill Caruson. They have a new policy; games
are bought for $4000 cash or 3% royalty with
a maximum of $10,000. Asked if he should send back
POTENTIAL. Alice ask told him to consider it. But
we are going to try SPECTRUM at Parker's first.
Nothing has been done yet with ACQUIRE. He is going
on a selling trip for the next 3 weeks. Towards the
end of that time I'm to send them him my new
ideas. He is going national with ACQUIRE but not
with HIGH BID. This will be redone to sell at $5.00.
They are getting many games sent in.
I showed Bob my SPECTRUM rules. He found them very
ponderous. I'll have to rewrite them before sending
them to Parker.
Bob told me that Recreational Mathematics Magazine
was bankrupt.
