                                                FRIDAY 10 JANUARY
1964 10th day - 356 days to come
Bob & Helen here. With BB & Dana as well played AIRLINE.
Game lasted 3 1/2 hours but it held interest. Helen won.
Some changes and clarifications to the rules that should be
made:-
Eliminate the $250 bonus for one hop in a city - and possibly
the $500 for 2 cities hops.
Write into rules that trades must be completed before the
start of the next move & that no effects of the
trade can be carried over passed that - in other words no future
promises or sharing of profits or remitting of traveling
fees, etc.
A player may buy a hop even [if] it would be sure to be
frozen out at the beginning of his next move. He might do this
to make a deal with someone who needed the hop.
Change choice of first player - each takes a card & city
nearest beginning of alphabet goes first.
Put on "shuffle" card that player takes another card. Also
state on "EXCESS PROFITS TAX" card that if none is paid take
another card. Also on "Free Pass" explain about use and option
of putting it back & taking another card (so as not to miss an
opportunity of getting a hop).
Alice called me. Bill Carnson will be in town the week
of the 20th to look at games. Discussed showing him
POTENTIAL & I suggested RED LETTER & she agreed reluctant-
ly. She is going to see the [inventor] of PORT-OF-CALL
today. He has some other games he wants her to place.
Bob brought a copy of WHAT'S THAT ON MY HEAD? as a
present. A "G" & 2 "e"s were missing.
