26 THURSDAY - JUNE 1973
177TH DAY - 188 DAYS TO COME
To London, Ontario bought a card game called FIGHTERS,
a simple game based on fighting warplanes. There were
a number of other games on Racing cars and other
subjects which probably all had the same play. (Paid 99 [cents]).
Also saw Gini Scott's OH FUDGE and ADMIRALS, both by
Parker of Canada.
Rcd. THE GENERAL - Mat - Jun '73. Has a BISMARCK variation
called ADVANCED BISMARCK. Has an article on Scott Duncan who
designed the following: CHIEF OF STATE (A part of Gamescience's
CONFRONTATION, HASTINGS, 1066, SPANISH MAIN, VICKSBURGH.
(cont. from 6/27) [7/2]
Jim Dunnigan told me about a survey that will be in a
future issue of S & T. It covers a bunch of games,
mainly war games, but does include ACQUIRE.
He suggested that I prepare a list of from 50 to
80 non-war games, currently available, for a similar
survey. By the end of the summer soon enough.
