2 FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 1973
GROUNDHOG DAY - PRESENTATION OF THE LORD - 33RD DAY - 332 DAYS TO COME
Made a small scale copy of the DISPERSAL board and at
Boston Post Road made 24 repros. [reproductions] Started making Illustrations
for the rules and end up with 8 of them.
Decided to change the name to IMPULSE.
Called Bob Gellman and he called me back. Told him that
Dorothy Shapiro wanted copies of MOVIE MOGULS, and the
possibility of my demonstrating HOLIDAY at Brentano's.
He'd like to join in the demonstration and possibly split the
cost of a newspaper ad with Brentano's. To get in the
Brentano's catalog it costs about $400 a game. Dorothy,
he said, was is not the buyer. The fellow taking Henry Levy's
place is.
F.A.O. Schwartz has agreed to put MOVIE MOGULS, HOLIDAY, and
PATTON in their X'Mas [Christmas] catalog.
I brought up the matter of an advance for PATTON. He said that
Felicia had already asked him and he just doesn't have the
money now. He may have it by April. I told him that the best
I could do would be to have the game ready by the end of March.
Rcd. [received] Frank's model of his game CONTIGO.
Rcd. [received] an earning statement from Xerox for 1972.
(cont. from 2/3) [2/6]
and TRIAGO have contracts, as well as SHAPE & SHATTER,
TRIPPLE CROSS, RED LETTER, THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS, DIGIT,
PE-LING, PLANES, & FOCUS, but no specific timetable.
Showed Felicia PUSH OVER and OVER 'N OVER and I'll finish
them up and bring them to her before Toy Fair.
Took back OPEN BRIDGE since we decided that no one would
be interested in it.
To James Trager (see 2/1). He showed me his game BAWDY BESS
and I took a copy of the cards and rules with me. He
wants me to put some fun in as an adult game. I said
I wouldn't be able to do much on it before April. Didn't
discuss finances yet, since he is not sure whether to try
and license it or take a friend up in his offer to finance
the game, or rather a series of games using the patented
mechanism. Gave him my card, and signed a receipt for the game.
Oddette Odette Willis called. Set up a date for next Tuesday at
2:00 at Felicia's.
