TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY - 324TH DAY - 42 DAYS TO COME
In packing for trip put in a copy of [illegible word crossed out] TRIPPPLES, SUMMIT,
and THE FAMILY GAME (spares). Also two copies of AGOG.

In hotel looked at the G & Ps, no. 7 had article on THE GODFATHER GAME,
WORLD SOCCER, DRAUGHTS (Great Games of the World). Short reviews
of MASTERPIECE, SIEGE (TROKE), AFRIKA KORPS. An ad by Philmar
(Ariel) for WEMBLY, SOCCER BOSS, DIPLOMACY, GOAL, THE GAME OF "GO",
[illegible word crossed out] THE GILLETTE CUP.
No. 8 had article on SPECULATE, PACHISI (Great Games of the World) with a
variation called CHONPA. Short reviews of REGATTA and PIT. Ads by
Hamley's and Game Guild for ACQUIRE and other games. Ad for a
crossword game called CRACK.
Rcd. [received] NOST-ALGIA no. 151. Phil Cohen's column is on DYNAMO CHESS and
[illegible word crossed out] SCOTTISH MODERN (by Bruce Troue). There is an ad
for Alister Wm Macintyre's OPERATION CONTACT. Rules given for PARITY.

The rules now state that the game is over when neither
player can make a move that will improve his position. Also
a time limit can be set. One ahead at that time is winner.
WILD WOOD PILE (send.).
TANGLED WEB (they liked it - send). They didn't think it
would be too expensive to produce.
FREE FORM (send).
FOUR LETTER WORDS (send.). Felicia thought they didn't want
a word game, but they said they didn't have one in their line.
MULLIGAN (don't send - can't remember exactly why).
CLUE-WORDS (send).
FOREIGN INTRIGUE (send). When they saw the box for
DOUBLE AGENT they said they were looking at a game of that
name. Felicia decided not to send Luftig's.
Ennio said that he saw my review of AIRPORT in S & T and
thanked me for it.
He said that two games of theirs that are doing best
are BEAT DETROIT and I CHING.
As well as the new games already mentioned they are coming
out with a line of roulette wheels, chess, back CHESS,
BACKGAMMON, the game of throwing dice and covering num-
bers corresponding, etc.
When he saw SKYSCRAPERS he said it reminded him of Ginny Gini
Scott's NITTY GRITTY. Told him that I also had a game and he
said there is a game with NITTY GRITTY - placing pcs. [pieces] until
