15 WEDNESDAY - NOVEMBER 1972
320TH DAY - 48 DAYS TO COME
Wrote up a letter to Joel Gaines (Prince Djoli Kansi) on
REALM and MONTAGE. Phil called and I read it to him.
Phil heard from Herb Hochstetter. He will try to set up an ap-
pointment at Post the week I get back.
Phil called Carl Eise spoke to Carl Eisenberg. Carl doesn't seem in
too much of a hurry with the 2nd set of p. and p. games.
Call from Felicia. She suggested that I get in touch with
{Oliver O'Connor Barrett [address]
while in London. Told her I'd give him a call. One thing I
should tell him is never to send models before getting go-ahead.
When I see Graeme Levin I should tell him that she won't be
able to do anything until after X'Mas [Christmas]. Also she'll need more
magazines. Also when she called the people who were supposed
to be handling G & P they didn't seem to know it at all.
I asked her about THE COUNTER GAME and she reminded me that
it was simply a gadget operated by one hand (I believe)
that is linked to a counter and timer. Object to "beat the
record" of the number of operations in a set time.
Doubleday is thinking of going into games and has made a big
survey. The only two 3M games that came up are SLEUTH
and TWIXT. Panker [Parker?] and M.B. games ran away with the survey.
She heard that Hallmark will be spending $60,000,000 on T.V. in '73 [1973].
She thinks that Stancraft is horrible to work with. They
wanted Flach to make changes in his WINDOWS. He did
and sent it to them a long time ago. Now they act as if
they didn't receive it. (It may have been the post office.)
2nd call from Felicia. Jac Freidgut, the inventor of
GOLD (HIGH FINANCE) may have someone to take over R.G.I.
She called Bob Gellman and he told her he has 3 pros-
pective customers for the company, but will talk to Freidgut.
I called Ken Morgan to ask him if I could tell Felicia a-
bout the S.E.C. notice he sent me. He suggested that I just tell
Felicia that she suggest to Freidgut that he check with the S.E.C.
I am pretty sure that he will in any case.
3rd call from Felicia. She wondered if I had seen anything
worthwhile in my date on 11/3. Yes, 2 (CLUE-WORDS and
MULLIGAN) but George Bredehorn is going to be written
up in NEWSDAY and doesn't want to do anything before seeing
the results from that.
Rcd. [received] a copy of the new version of NEW TOWN from John
Wilkerson of Harwell Assoc., together with a letter.
Started work on my article on ACQUIRE for G. & P. [G & P]
