12 THURSDAY - OCTOBER 1972
286TH DAY - 80 DAYS TO COME
Called Eve Auchincloss and told her I hadn't been payed [paid] for
my BOOK WORLD column. She'll check on that, and wheth
when it will be run.
Wrote up the rules for JUNGLE RACE, making use of a
quick set BB wrote up. BB typed them, finishing up
fairly late. The diagram still has to be added. Actually
BB brought up the point that my original diagram showed
a player going in the wrong direction. I came up with a
new one with her help.
(cont. from 10/20)[10/20]
Looking thru [through] S & T no. 34. Centerfold game is ARMEGEDDON.
There are ads for Sim. Pub. Games 1812, LA GRANDE ARMÉE, and
THE MARNE. Rod Walker discusses ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR II in
his column "Power Politics." St. Martin's Press has an advertisement
for a book THE WAR GAME - with lots of material on tabletop
miniatures.
Made a new layout for POST-HASTE, as shown. Played
with BB on a rough board. Seems O.K.
[Drawing of an oval shaped board with a path of rectangular spaces around the edge with colors yellow, green, red, and blue. The colors are not in a repeating pattern.]
(cont. from 10/21)[11/2]
Arthur called Wexler yesterday. Couldn't get any word on
the progress of the games. Date next Friday - about 90%
sure - at B.B. at 10:00 A.M.
