To Boston Post Road. Reproduced 9 pages from the English
translation to TRIOKER. (Put them with the rules in Pierre Berloquin file, 1971 visit.)
Bought some plastic toys at John's for possible game material.
At John's saw R.G.I's WHITE HOUSE and VINCE LOMBARDI'S GAME
on sale for $1.97.
At Trooties bought six (I think) sheets of thin white cardboard.
Rcd. GAMES & PUZZLES #4, contained : - Article on CONSEQUENCES,
LITTLE-KNOWN MASTERPIECES, and DRAWINGS AND CAPTIONS; article
on CHESS pieces; SCRABBLE; Don Turnbull mentions CONFRONTATION,
JUTLAND, 1914, ANZIO, STRATEGY I, and WAR IN THE EAST, GO,
DIPLOMACY; TAKE THE BRAIN; RED FRED (a bidding game);
CARD CRICKET (by Graeme Levin and Arnold Witkin);
PIG FARMING - an outline of a game for readers to develop.
Also a letter with some suggestions on what I might write on.
He may be in N.Y. at the end of August. Wants me to send him
my article on review of SPECULATE.
Jerry D'Arcey called and came to spend the afternoon and
evening. While talking I drew up a board for FIGHT CITY HALL
(THE GENTLE ART OF POLITICS).
He raised money for the trip by giving 15% interest in
EARTHQUAKE, which was improved since I saw it. MB likes
it a lot, but wants some further changes, which Jerry will
do and send it back to them.
He is working on a game COLD FEET where players have to reach
under a large plastic "foot" which eventually falls.
He showed another game TWIST 'N MAZE to M.B. & to Parker. They
enjoyed playing but wouldn't take it, saying it could be dangerous.
It consists of two identical mazes rigidly connected.

We tried it and I saw what they meant. It becomes
a matter of strength rather than skill. He was thinking a
flexible connection instead of the rigid. That might make
it a lot better.
I told him about Martin Gardner and the IMPUZZABLES. He told
me that he gets a steady quarterly royalty of from $300 to $600.
He, with some help from Hans Goldschmit, is working on a
TV GAME for George Fennernan [George Fenneman] (Groucho Marx' announcer). It
is shaping up as a cross between PROBE and YAHTZEE.
I mentioned the PUZZLE with 4 pieces forming a pyramid. He
couldn't sell it and will mail it back to me.
He is pretty sure that he has sold KU-FU to Stevens.
He has moved. New address
