2 SUNDAY - JULY 1972
FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY - 184TH DAY - 182 DAYS TO COME
Thought of an idea for a game using one view master.
Tentative name JUNGLE RACE.
(cont. from 7/3) [7/6]
Arthur & Wald. Discussed Sullivan's terms and they are
interested in getting quick money. I told them I wasn't sure
whether I would submit anything, but if I
didn't I certainly wouldn't mind if they did.
Claude called in the evening and we talked about some
more. He had spoken to Wald before and they both thought
it was great that I had refused to show THE BRAIN GAME.
Claude thinks we should play games with them too, like
being too busy with other things to come to a meeting, etc.
During day someone called and asked for me. Dana didn't
get his name, but he said he'd call tomorrow.
[Started 7/6] [Arrows pointing up and down]
One important, and confidential, thing that Sullivan mentioned
at our meeting is that their game line would
be called "Best Sellers" and have names that sound
like book titles. He mentioned "Up the Organization"
as an example - which of course is a book title.
(cont. from 7/7) [7/7]
of brown and a purplish (neither of which I have seen before)
in an art store in Roosevelt Field shopping center.
Played THE BRAIN GANE with Al & Adela Richter and Brian.
Brian had a little difficulty but then caught on. Played
in about 1 1/4 hours. By mistake one company was taken
off, making only 8 actually played for. I beat Adela
by $2,000.
(cont. from 7/14) [7/17]
No one cared too much for this. Too many different things
happening, with no clear directions.
To vest pocket park and discussed how we would proceed
with HASBRO. Decided we won't show anything more
than today's games and those previously shown, until
we each got the initial $5,000.
Claude had MONEY, MONEY, MONEY with him but we didn't
get the chance to play it. He said there are changes
but we didn't go into them.
Talked to Claude about NEW YORK Magazine. He offered
(cont. om 7/1)
