28 WEDNESDAY - JUNE 1972
180th day - 186 days to come
Rcd. a call from Bob Schneider's secretary. She said
that his lawyer was working on the contract for
SCOTLAND YARD. I told her that I wanted to talk to
him about the game itself. She said she'd have him
call me.
Bernie Lane called in answer to my call of yesterday. The modern
game display is still in transit and he'll let me know
when he gets it in New Jersey. He is afraid that very
little of it will be usable.
The large games were donated to a hospital in Rochester.
They finally ended up making bean bags out of corduroy.
Bernie brought up the isea again of a GAME based on
encapsulated smells. I told him I'd think about it when I cleared
up some other work.
Called Felicia and got the answering service. Told her about
Elaine Cook and RED, WHITE, AND BLUE to tell Felicia.
Dale called from Simulations. After talking to her I had her put
on Phil Orbanes. Bill Knox is still ignoring his calls on
GROOVE, HOLEY TERROR, etc.
Carl Eisenberg decided not to do FREE FORM or SPACE STIX.
He is under the impression that I will be submitting other wood
items and I can pick up the former when I do. I asked Phil
if he is submitting anything. They still have things he did last year,
without decision, and he's not doing any more for them.
Bob Hallowell says the stocks have been selling and the chances
are now about 55-45 that he will stay in business.
Spoke to Al Nofi. Told him of my call from Larry Blaydin of the
INTERNATIONAL GAME SHOW. Al doesn't think they are doing
too well. They are practically begging S & T to participate.
Asked Al about Martin Campion's mention of S & T GUIDE #3.
There isn't any. All this material will be in MOVES,
Asked for Jim Dunnigan. Not in and asked to have him call me.
On radio heard a piece on Buckminster Fuller. They mentioned
his WORLD GAME. It is a computer program where all the
world's resources are entered, and then allocated to the
world's peoples.
Sent letter to Richard H. Knight with answers to his
questions on EXECUTIVE DECISION.
Wrote to Tom Shaw telling him I still didn't get pictures
of GETTYSBURG, etc. from Xerox yet. Told him that sales of
EXECUTIVE DECISION were fair, but that I couldn't tell him the
figures. Thanked him for FRANCE 1940.
