20 TUESDAY - JUNE 1972
172ND DAY - 194 DAYS TO COME
Call from Arthur (who is on vacation and then on 1 months
leave - without pay - from his job). Wald's wife won't let him
come here Friday. Arthur is still afraid that Claude will
show games Friday.
Arthur rcd. a letter from Randy Clark (see 3/9 and 5/1).
Arthur sent him a copy of the new POWER rules.
Working on my column. Finished SPECULATE and started AIRPORT.
Called Red and told him I couldn't have it ready by tomorrow.
Early Friday will be O.K.
Claude called. More talk about Friday.
Anne noticed an ad in July McCALL'S Magazine for a quarterly
called TOY REVIEW which will review toys depending mainly
on readers to supply the reviews. The price is $2.00 a year, but
a free copy can be obtained from

he changed the subject.
Wexler said that before joining Pressman he had about
20 games invented but he realises now that most were
not commercial. Pressman has discontinued his
BLACK & BLUE and COMPLETION. He has a game called THREE UP
that Lakeside will be putting out.
I asked him about BRAIN STORM (see 2/25/71) but he didn't
know anything about what was happening with it.
Arthur had to leave a little early. After the meeting Wald, Claude,
and I discussed the situation, and how we would be able to
work together. Wald suggested a 4-way split, except for games
which were already on our shelves which would go completely to
the original inventor. I suggested instead that the originator of
a game - whether now or from before - get half the royalties
(and sign the contract) and the other half going into a pot to
be split four ways. Claude liked that idea but Wald didn't care
for it. Didn't have too much time and we'll have to discuss it some more.
Claude with me by subway here. Gave him a copy of S & T #32.
Earl and Peter here, and later, Issie for supper.
Played SCOTLAND YARD, including BB making 6. Since I left
the key sheets at Simulations there was only one copy (the original
smudged one) and everyone was grabbing for it, holding up
the game.
Played that 2 dice are thrown and player could move either.
