18 SUNDAY - JUNE 1972
THIRD SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY - 170TH DAY - 196 DAYS TO COME
Dad brought the translations of the first half of Lech's
PRZEWODNIK GIER. I went over some of the material and was
able to understand most of it
Finished the letter to Don Turnbull (started 6/14) of ALBION.
Mentioned TAKE THE BRAIN, ORION, DEALER'S CHOICE, PROBE,
SUMMIT, CARDINO, WINE CELLAR, WOMAN & MAN, SOCIETY TODAY,
DRUG ATTACK, THE CITIES GAME, EMPEROR OF CHINA, AIRPORT,
SCRABBLE, RSVP, RPM, BALI, VECTOR, CARAPACE, CAVEAT EMPTOR,
BUGS & LOOOPS, 4000 A.D., SPECULATE, CHESSWORD, SLEUTH,
EXECUTIVE DECISION, subscription to ALBION, DIPLOMACY.
(cont. from 6/19) [6/19]
last week and that he wrote some nice orders for HOLIDAY.
Started working on column for S & T #33, started with SPECULATE.
(cont. from 6/20) [6/23]
Also no cards were distributed at the start. Claude only
was able to come up with 3 "evidence" cards all game. I'll fix
this by allowing a move of the total of the dice, also by
dealing out "evidence" cards and also "warrants" at the start
of the game.
We ended the game when someone (me) was able to correctly
identify all the other players, but all the fellows later felt that
it would have been more fun to play till someone got
the proper warrant and 4 pieces of evidence.
At first intended to allow a player to take a warrant
from another player if he landed on his marker on a
warrant space, but then decided to allow him to trade and
on any space.
Claude played UPSTAGE with Peter. Peter won.
At our meeting this afternoon, Wexler wanted us to take Hasbro
catalogs. I took the complete set but am only keeping 1,
"Crafts, Games, & Toys." Among other things it contains Gini
Scott's SCREW BALL, DON'T BUG ME, FREE FALL, ALLEY UP,
SOMETHING'S FISHY, POPCORN, and MARBLE MAZE. Discovered a
booklet on action toys, Romper Room, Your Baby (by Wexler),
Wooden Toys (Capt. Kangaroo).
Rcd. the board for THE GODFATHER GAME I requested at the
Stationery Show, together with a note from Mary Robison,
Rcd. a letter from Karen Kelley of 3M together with a letter from
Richard H. Knight, Jr. asking some questions on EXECUTIVE DECISION.
(cont. on 6/17)
