14 SUNDAY - MAY 1972
SUNDAY AFTER ASCENSION - MOTHER'S DAY - 135TH DAY - 231 DAYS TO COME
Finished the letter to Robert Horn of Information
Resources suggested the following for inclusion in
THE GUIDE TO SIMULATION GAMES FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING : -
BLACKS & WHITES, DRUG ATTACK, WHO CAN BEAT NIXON?,
EXECUTIVE DECISION, ACQUIRE, SLEUTH, BUGS & LOOOPS.
Told him about AGOG and offered to send him a copy.
Called Arthur. Nothing specifically about games. He said tho
that they are working on some interesting new approaches,
not psychic.
Played COMPUTER BINGO with BB. She said that it was
definitely the best form yet, but she isn't crazy about it. The
Blaisdell grease pencils were difficult to clean completely.
Took four short grease pencils from the CARTE BLANCHE
game (I have two sets). BB painted the outside of the
machine with black enamel, also the "Carte Blanche" on
the pencils.
Called Adela Richter to tell her that our car was fixed and
that we'd go there this coming Friday.
(cont. from 5/15) [5/23]
To Mag-Nif. Bill Knox asked if I had anything else to show him.
Told him about HABITAT and he'd like to see it. Tomorrow.
To Kontrell. Mr. Petrecelli said that he hasn't seen any reviews
from me. Told him that I had done NINETYSEVEN and had never
rcd. HAVOC or RICOCHET. He said they sent them. I'll bring
them my review of NINETYSEVEN.
He also grumbled that Felicia is trying to stick him with
dogs. She offered him PSYCHE-PATHS but he checked and it bombed everywhere.
To Skor-Mor. Saw ARCHIEBALL (see ad sheet). The deck of cards has
all possible arrangement of the white and black balls taken 5
at a time. (Probably) start with random arrangement of 5
balls in the center and two at each end. Then 4 cards are turned
face up. Players in turn remove any one of the 5 center
balls and place it at the outside of either end dropping the
inside ball to the center group. Object to match a card. The
one in charge took my card and said he'd send me one for review.
Took ad sheet with, among others, CANNON BALL PUZZLE,
ARCHIEBALL, RIGHT ON, ROLL-A-MAZE, CREATE-A-CUBES, MOD QUAD,
LOGJAM PUZZLE, NITTY GRITTY, LEAVE A BEAD, INFURIATION,
TEES OFF, SKY HIGH, STEIFFLE TOWER, FIVE STONES IN A ROW,
THAT FLIPPIN' GAME. Also list the Dynamic Design games.
To Hansen. Returned LAND-BARON rules. Mr. Tripp not there.
Ran into Bob Hallowell. He is not showing prototypes of
XANDO, etc. Afraid of a knock-off of his packaging. He will
concentrate on mail order for NINE OF SWORDS.
(cont. on 5/13)
