10 WEDNESDAY - MAY 1972
131ST DAY - 235 DAYS TO COME
Wrote to Kathy Brooks telling her I haven't rcd. the
model of FOREIGN INTRIGUE.
Wrote to Mrs. Spalten (see 4/14) in answer to her AGOG
question. Sent her copy of my S & T column with EXECUTIVE DECISION
and SLEUTH.
Monday night Issie mentioned that some pcs. were missing in a
diagram for CROSSINGS in AGOG. Looked at it today and
saw that Diagram 12 on page 49 has two missing black pcs.
Rcd. the STAR TREK BATTLE MANUAL which is actually a
booklet describing the rules and how to make the
equipment for STAR TREK.
Mentions other games that he, Lou Zocchi, may publish : -
GRAND PRIX FORMULA ONE, FIGHTER PILOT, SHOGI,
CHANGII (KOREAN CHESS), NAPOLEON'S WATERLOO CAMPAIGN GAME,
FLYING TIGERS, CIVIL WAR 1863, GETTYSBURG BRIGADES,
PEARL HARBOR, CLARK FIELD, TEAMSTER, BATS IN THE BELFRY,
STOCK EXCHANGE, ELECTRONIC STAR TREK.
To Bob Gellman. Went over the layout for the HOLIDAY board
and found some errors and lazy ways of putting in the information
that made it unclear. Bob took down the comments
on a pad and we marked them with grease pencil on an overlay.
At O'Brien's bought 3 grease pencils, the thick type with
unrolling cover. Couldn't find any with wood cover.
Also bought a 10th letter tray.
Rcd. a post card from Phil Cohen asking if I wanted a
Xerox copy of LES JEUX D'ECHECS NON ORTHODOXES.
(cont. from 5/11) [5/25]
BB rcd. a call from Kathy Brooks during the day. She asked if
FOREIGN INTRIGUE reached us yet. She'll put a tracer on it.
Arthur called to see if I could get to see him now that the
Stationery Show was over. Told him I'd have to wait until I catch
up. Told him to tell Wald I haven't forgotten about the ACQUIRE
game for his friend.
Herb Siegel called from Penn Station just before leaving after
a business trip to N.Y. Said he'll try to get in with Jackie to
visit us. The June 1972 AMERICAN HERITAGE Magazine has
an article on old games & toys.
