9 TUESDAY - MAY 1972
130TH DAY - 236 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. the proposal on SCOTLAND YARD from Robert Schneider.
Rcd. a letter from Garry Shirts concerning BLOCK 'N SCORE. Also
his catalog of 7th grade to adult simulations : - CRISIS,
NAPOLI, STARPOWER, SITTE, PLAINS, & METROPOLITICS. Also
elementary catalog listing : - POWDERHORN, BLOCK 'N SCORE, IMPORT,
EXPLORERS I, EXPLORERS II, THE BLUE WODJET COMPANY, CITY COUNCIL,
HOMESTEADERS, ROARING CAMP, PANATINA.
Rcd. an invite from Milton Bradley to a Champagne Breakfast
at The Sign of the Dove for their "Cadeaux", on 5/18 at 10:30
A.M.
Called Bernie Lane to ask about Xerox check. Out of town 'till
Friday and he'll call me then.
Felicia called. She heard from a fellow in Girl's World that
Marshall Lucas is looking for 3M type games for his "CADO"
line. Told her about my invite and that it is "Cadeaux". She
then said she'll let Lucas contact her; she won't chase him.
Bob Johnson, Jim Goldsberry's new assistant will be at her
office at 11:00 A.M. on 5/23. Since Jim doesn't want him to
meet inventors, she suggested that I just drop in. Later
told him she wanted me there and he didn't object.
Hallmark is really jumping. They have just hired away
Sears' head buyer.
Bob Johnson will be looking at things. I said I'd like to
show DIALEMMA and COMPUTER BINGO. She said she
didn't think too much of either of them but I
certainly could bring them if I want. Tho I have plenty
of things in the hopper.
Johnson previously owned a crafts company, not a game co.
Yesterday in Mayer's bought two cutters for use with compasses.
Tried it today and it didn't work very well. (Put with drafting set.)
Ordered CHARGE! OR, HOW TO PLAY WAR GAMES from Publishers Central
Bureau for $1.
Wrote to Russ Sansom (see 4/14) giving him permission to
describe PATTERNS II and SLAM in THE INTELLIGENCER/
