26 WEDNESDAY - APRIL 1972
117TH DAY • 249 DAYS TO COME
Felicia called. She was disappointed by the 3M report,
although it was pretty much what I expected. She is going to
have a stock holder's meeting Friday and she wants to get any
news she can. She will call Bill Dohrmann to check on
LOTTERY. Jim Kraus, who hasn't answered any of her letters,
to check on IMAGE, PROFIT, and TORTS- THE GAME OF LAWSUITS
Jim Goldsberry at Hallmark.
An inventor is coming in at 2 today with a revised edition
of a game, FIRE ISLAND LINGO, which Felicia saw before and wanted
the inventor to fix up. She told me to drop in if I get the
chance.
As far as having the model of Lilian's FOUR LETTER WORDS
made up, she decided that she doesn't have the money for
it and neither does Lilian.
Told her about my meeting with R.G.I. and SCOTLAND YARD. Since
it is a royalty deal, I said, she is to get her 25%. She
told me that she knows that I am always honest, but - since
I had really done everything on this myself - she only wanted
15%. I agreed.
At "The Pushcart" saw that they still had TAKE FIVE for 99¢.
In a stationery store at Broadway and Aston Place bought
2 more Elden stack thays $1.79 each.
Stopped at Felicia's for a few minutes, Looked at
FIRE ISLAND LINGO. It was very attractive done but the
game didn't seem too original, altho I only looked at it
briefly, since I was late. A player takes cards (how many?)
from a pack and thinks of a word starting and ending with
letters drawn. He tells low many letters are missing other
players can guess the word. It they don't a certain number
of clues are given with quessing between each clue permitted.
Score depends upon how soon the word is guessed. (Very
rough idea.)
To R.G.I. Went over the slides for HOLIDAY and [illegible cross out]
finalized all of them except for Jamaica. Bob will pick up
2 of these at the tourist office tomorrow.
Bob called Joan Silbert about my getting together with
her to go over the map for HOLIDAY She'll call me
tomorrow to set a date.
I noticed that MOVIE MOGULS was mounted on the wall a-
gain, I asked and Bob said that they Ken Morgan had agreed
to a smaller royalty. With the original royalty there
was no allowance for advertising. If a retailler suggested
a cooperative ad Gellman had to turn it down and this usually
killed the sale.
F.A.O. Schwartz will have MOVIE MOGULS and (I believe)
WHITE HOUSE in their X'Mas catalog. HOLIDAY probably could
have been in if it had been ready in time.
