22 SATURDAY - APRIL 1972
113TH DAY - 253 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. April TOYS. Only item of interest is an English
"Games Nest" of 4 games stored horizontally one
on top of the other, each being 27" square by 6" thick.
The 4 games : - TABLE HOCKEY, TRAPPER, MAZE, CHESS.
Rcd. a letter stating that Daniel Ferrone and Gerard are doing
business as "Market Force Inc." Their dispute with Robert Hubbard
of "Impact Communications" has been settled.
(cont. from 4/23) [4/26]
games. I pointed out that MARIENBAD really didn't
fit the concept but Bob wasn't convinced.
Felicia called me with news that she just couldn't wait
with. She spoke to Jim Goldsberry. They are definitely
going to have a line of games and puzzles out this
year under the Springbok label. [illegible crossed out] The
following of mine are in : - ANOTHER, FITTING & PROPER,
TOTALLY --, TROMINO GO. Also in of Felicia's are PITFALL
(Connor Barrett's), DUEL, CUBITS, MAKE-A-PUZZLE GAME.
INDIAN CHESS is also in but we don't know whether we
will get royalties on this or not. Among my other
games WINDOW PAINS is being returned. PLANES is good
but will not be done this year. Jim may have said
something particular about SHAPE AND SHATTER and
PE-LING but Felicia is not sure (another call came in at
that time confusing her).
She didn't succeed in reaching Bill Dohrmann or
Jim Kraus.
I told Bob Gellman that Wally Siegel (this converstaion
entered later) had called me and that we had a date for next
Friday. Bob told Wally about me some time ago but Wally
told Bob that he had trouble getting me.
Told Bob that I was thinking about SCOTLAND YARD and waiting
for the proposal concerning it. He said that was between
Schneider and me.
Called Claude and spoke to Anne. Told her that DUEL was
definitely coming out this year.
Called Mr. Siegel (twice) in the morning. He is with
G.A.F. and they have come out with one GAME connected
with their Viewmaster. They are interested in others
and Bob Gellman told him about me. They will pay
royalties. They want the games to be playable from ages 5
to 10, but certainly won't mind if the whole family can play.
Made a date for me to come down to see him at 9:30 on
Friday, May 5 to discuss my doing GAMEs for them.
