4 TUESDAY - APRIL 1972
95TH DAY - 271 DAYS TO COME
Wrote to Dick Harris about SUMMIT. To Leonard Willett
about AGOG and sending him $200. Started a letter
to the ACQUIRE players (see 4/1)
Rcd. The GENERAL.// Rcd. a letter from Alfons Rubbens. Sent me
glossies of 4000 A.D., CHESSWORD, and SPECULATE. Also
3 copies of a "Games & Puzzles" booklet advertising their line.
Has letters including one from me on COLD FUSION and 4000 A.D..
Suggested that I contact Earl Doherty if I have any new ideas.
They are looking for one good one for next year.
Called Red. Anytime next week will be O.K. for my next
S & T column.
Called Jack Davis and made date earlier today. He told me
that the following games are being dropped : - BREAKTHRU,
QUINTO, JUMPIN, HIGH BID (Both forms), and probably REGATTA.
Felicia called. She rcd. a letter from Kathy Brooks which wasn't
quite clear, but I interpreted it as saying that FOREIGN INTRIGUE
had not been accepted as the mystery game but that it was
being considered anyway. We'll be hearing from them soon.
She would like to find out what is happening with PROFIT
but she writing to Jim Kraus is just "sending letters into a
void". I said we could check with Bill Caruson when he comes to
the stationery show, but now it appears that he won't be coming.
She rcd. letter from Bill Dohrmann that LOG JAM was close to
being accepted but didn't quite make it. ESCAPE also bounced.
No word on my games.
I told her that I rcd. letter saying SPELLBINDER was being
returned. Also told her about the letters from Keith Tuggle
and Karen Kelley.
I didn't tell Felicia about HIGH BID. Let someone else
give her the bad news.
She asked if I had heard from Marshall Lucas of M.B. No. She
wants to get an answer from M.B. on PSYCHE - PATHS
but no one is contacting her.
Learning Games has discovered that they can't cost out
PSYCHE - PATHS, as much as they'd like to include it in their line.
Told Felicia that DYNAMIC DESIGN Dynamic Design had sent me all their games.
The inventor of STONED called Felicia long distance and left
his number with the answering service. Since it was sent to
her unsolicited she is not calling. She didn't know what
she had done with it and I reminded her that she had given
it to me. Told her I'd return it, but we didn't determine when.
To see Mike Alber. Got a glossy of ORION. He had just received
a shipment including DEALER'S CHOICE and SQUARE OFF. Wanted
me to take copies but I said I'd come in next week.
I thanked him for telling Sandra Garson about me. Also asked him
