19 SUNDAY - MARCH 1972
PASSION SUNDAY - ST. JOSEPH - 79TH DAY - 287 DAYS TO COME
Thinking about DIALEMMA, in the direction of allowing
the chain of moves to continue for, say, five displacements
before being forced to move to an empty line.
This didn't seem to work very well either.
At a bazaar in Yonkers bought CRUSADE, a game based on
fighting cancer. This was done by "Games for Industry" and
seems to be just about the same in play principle as HI - FI
and CITIBANK.
Also saw a puzzle DOUBLE TROUBLE (no company that I
could see listed). It consisted of a plastic cube and five
squares of cardboard. The squares were divided into
quarters diagonally and the quarters colored with different
arrangements of, I believe, 4 colors. The squares
were colored differently on the two sides. Object to place
them on the bottom and the 4 sides so that adjoining
quarters match in color, both on the inside and on the outside.
Claude called about a N.Y.G.A. meeting. I suggested Thursday,
and I called Earl and Earl called Claude to confirm the date.
While talking to Claude he said that he is working on different
versions of DIVIDE AND CONQUER for Frank Armbruster.
He'll show me Thursday. Something about having lines
along the edges to show which card takes which.
(cont. from 4/1) [4/12]
Rcd. letter with 2 questions on EXECUTIVE DECISION with
a post card for return. From Stephen Lissandrello.
Rcd. a letter from Leonard Willett in answer to mine of 4/4.
Rcd. a check for $71.79 from Exhibition Management - made
out to Bernice Sackson.
Rcd. a letter thru AGOG asking how to sell a game
modification. From John McGinley.
[Started 4/12] [Arrow pointing both up and down.]
At G. & R. , Nan told me that they would be handling
Frank Armbruster's SUNKA but under the name
MANCALA, now that Kontrell has the Kalah Line.
(cont. from 3/24) [4/14]
Jed Gaines said that they were contacting the manufacturers
of DIPLOMACY. Games Research.
I told him about BUGS & LOOOPS and gave him the address.
I asked about the letter of 3/15 & 3/11. He sent it to Joel in Hawaii.
