then I would give it a complete review.
FLYING SAUCERS (Put out by "Funland" but distributed by
Contemporary). The board is as shown.
[Diagram of 5 rows of circles. The bottom 3 rows are 10 circles across. The top 2 rows have 6 circles in the middle and share a larger circle on the left and right edges.]
2 to 4 can play,
each having 12 pcs. started on outer two
rules. I believe play is similar to HALMA
(but am not sure I remember).
Advantage Games : - Three sport games, ADVANTAGE TENNIS, ADVANTAGE BASKETBALL, and ADVANTAGE HOCKEY. (Pictures of
first t wo filed in 1972 misc.) They suggested that I write
for review copies.
Small Wonders : - Said hello to Joyce Swasey. She had the
SNOWFLAKE puzzle from last year and a pyramid PUZZLE formed
from 4 (I believe) identical pcs. (Later saw them in Museum of
Modern Art shop.)
Bims Incorporated : - Didn't get the many on the details of
the following, but they don't seem very original. (Sheets
filed in 1972 Misc.) MARBELOUS MAZE - a black marble is
placed to permanently block one space at the start of the
game. Otherwise a straight race game. AMAZING MAZE RACE.
WHICKY WICK, ELECTION CARD GAME, ELECTIONS - Robt. Bohle said
that the rules were being rewritten. They were very unclear.
Strato - Various Products : - Got rules for STRATO TAC-TICS and
STRATOCHECKERS. Also a picture and price list (filed in 1972
misc.) Spoke to Walter J. Dykes, the inventor & president. He'd
like to see S & T and I promised to bring him one Wednesday.
Mag - Nif : - Said hello to Reiss and Lefkowitz. Spoke to Bill Knox.
Didn't remember me, then said he did and that he decided
not to use GROOVE, and finally after I sketched it he said
he was using it and the contract would be coming in about
(cont. on 2/25)
