26 WEDNESDAY - JANUARY 1972
26TH DAY - 340 DAYS TO COME
To Martine Gilcrest's apt. to pick out slides together with Bob Gellman.
She can supply about 3/4 of the slides we need. Lunch for
the 3 of us, then Bob & I to Joan Silbert's, the artist. Looked
first at the art work on two children's games: MASTER SPY
and QUICK DRAW (a rodeo game).
Then we looked at the artwork for HOLIDAY (instead of
JET HOLIDAY). Good, except for some points we discussed. Also went
over the equipment. I will lay out a score sheet. Also Bob wants
me to come up with a blurb to put on the outside.
The box will be made like an attaché case, with a handle.
Bob wanted to go to Felicia's to return GIRL TALK and HIGH FINANCE. He
probably will want to do them, but doesn't want to hold on to
them till he decides. Also he thought that we could sign up the
contract for HOLIDAY, which Felicia has received. I suggested
that we call her first to make sure she was there, before going
down.
I called, and Ruth Shaler has the contract at her apt., so that there
was no point in my going.
Felicia rcd. both checks for FITTING & PROPER and will put mine
in the mail. // PLANES and CHECKPOINT are being held for further consideration.
I told Felicia that I had sent FOREIGN INTRIGUE to Keith Tuggle
yesterday. I reminded Felicia thet 3M will want a disclosure
form. She'll send one in for me, and for Lillian's GAME. Andy Luftig
decided that his GAME just wasn't working out.
Somebody contacted Felicia. They are in the mortgage insurance
business (I believe) and would like a sophisticated GAME to give
out to customers, etc. Felicia thought that, since it is a business game,
I should be able to come up with one easily. There is a budget of
$5000 and all that would be available for us would be $2,000, or a
little more. I said I'd like to try it. She'll get info on their business
and their thinking on the book and send it to me.
Bob left, and we'll get together early next week.
Rcd. Jan. '72 TOYS. Nothing of interest.
(cont. from 1/27) [1/27]

Phil hasn't heard anything from Bill Knox on GROOVE and
HOLEY TERROR.
