16 SUNDAY - JANUARY 1972
SECOND SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY - 16TH DAY - 350 DAYS TO COME
Playing around with AIR BATTLE. Played with BB on a 12 x 9 field with
4 airstrips : - 2 long (1 plane), 3 long (1 planes), 4 long (2 planes), 5
long (2 planes). Also 3 factories : - 2 long, 4 long, 6 long, (each
producing 1 plane). Also 6 guns. It was rather slow moving. Worse,
the factories and guns were rather meaningless. Only twice was I
reduced one plane because I lost more than my factories produced.
The New York TIMES Magazine Section had an article on
THE GREAT MONEY GAME. The cover had a pseudo game based on the
article. Kept the (Filed in '72 misc. [1972 miscellaneous])

Herb Roth has a new game HAT IN THE RING, put out by
"Changing Times Education Service" (Kiplinger). It sells for $10.
We checked but Herb was not there [illegible crossed out] to look at it.
It sells for $10.
I asked about BODY TALK. Herb told Felicia to tell
my correspondent to order it from Macy's.
Someone sent Felicia a copy of Paul Schulman's article in
the HACKENSACK RECORD (1/16). She, Lillian Voegelin, and I
were quoted to some length. Schulman promised to send
her four copies, but hasn't so far.
Felicia mentioned to Bob Gellman that we didn't have a
contract yet and he said that it took time but should be
ready soon, not to worry.
He also said that JET HOLIDAY was already in production.
I said that I hadn't given him the latest layout of
cities and routes. She'll contact him.
Felicia called in the evening. After I left Herb Roth spoke to
her and told her that Research Games was dropping
MOVIE MOGULS and owed Ken Morgan money for royalties. I
told her that Ken had told me about. She was angry that
I hadn't told her and I said that I respect other people's
confidences the same as I respect hers. Later she
apologized.
Herb Roth wants to take over MOVIE MOGULS and wants
her to go in with him. She wants no part of it.
[Started 1/18] [arrows pointing up and down]
At G. & R. took a copy of SHRINK. Asked Mr. Reidel about
HAAR HOOLIM PERCEPTION GAMES and he said they are
catching on, especially in education.
