5 WEDNESDAY - JANUARY 1972
5TH DAY - 361 DAYS TO COME
Call from Felicia. It turns out that Ruth Shaler has a good
collection of travel slides. Bob Gellman has been talking with
her and it looks like that problem will be solved.
Ruth told Felicia about our talking about a date on 1/18 for
champaigne [champagne]. Felicia wondered if she should ask Bob Gellman. Why not?
I said we'd bring cookies.
Felicia told me about Carl Eisenberg's call and thanked me for not
telling him about who X is.
He wants $250,000 for the molds, etc. and Hallmark certainly
won't go for that.
Carl told Felicia that he said that someone from 3M is coming
to New York to talk to him about the games.
Felicia asked about his games and I said that I thought that
FRENETICS was good of its kind.
Felicia called Bob Edwards to check on the checks for FITTING & PROPER.
Bob thought that the lawyer's office had handled it, and visa versa.
He will get them out at once.
I remembered that Felicia, on her call of 12/27/71, had said
that SPELLBINDER came back.
In her talk today Felicia forgot to ask Bob about PLANES.
I asked Felicia to check with Herb Roth on the place and amount to
send for a copy of BODY TALK.
Felicia was wondering whether she should ask S & R for an advance on
the BALI royalty to pay her rent. I told her I'd loan her
the money. She wanted to pay interest but I said it was only a matter of a few weeks.
BB suggested that using the identification cards from PAYOFF
for FOREIGN INTRIGUE might cause some of the people at 3M to
feel that they had seen the game before. I thought of using
names such as AREL, BOND, etc.
Deposited the Scribner's check for reading AMERICA'S GAME BOOK in
checking account.
Called Jack Davis about the BOOK WORLD article. He was busy
and said he'd call back. Didn't.
Wrote to Jay Delkin - his remarks on FOCUS, etc. [Agog]
Darrell Waldron - SPACEVENTURE. [S & T]
D.B. Wade - game nut and would be inventor. [Agog]
Robert S. Goulet - HAAR HOOLIM PERCEPTION GAMES. [Agog]
Lowell Schechter brought the copy of THE WARLORD he promised.
Just dropped it off on way to airport. He'll have Michael Hayes
write to me. The game seems quite good.
